Folic Acid Cure

Folic Acid (aka Vitamin B9) is an essential vitamin needed for a number of bodily functions including DNA construction, for the nervous system, for mental health and during early childhood when cells divide most rapidly.  Folic Acid like vitamin B6 is an effective agent against homocystein (this causes heart disease, strokens and alzeimers).  It is most important during pregnancy as a lack of folic acid is a leading cause of birth defects.

Natural sources of Folic Acid include include leafy vegitables, beans, peas, brewers yeast, nutritional yeast, sunflow seeds, bananas, strawberries, grapefruits, melonsorange juice, melons, broccoli, beets, tomatoes, and brussel sprouts.  You can certainly find Folic Acid in most supplements, but the best source of B6 is uncooked quality  vegitables as 50% can be lost due to cooking (juices or smoothies are a good trick here).
